In a rice field long ago, a man stood. This man understood the path. What did he want? Why did he come? First, in the midst of the booming urban centers and the larger global distribution network, where fast food and everything is better than food, many find it impossible to find a sustainable livelihood.

Now, it is time for most to find a livelihood in the small, dangerous village of their birth, in rural Japan. In rural Japan, where there is no electricity or water, where families see their precious time so carefully that one cannot simply spend it wherever, a month of hard work and monthly threats by predators, cats, and snake, combine to keep life at a pace of almost impossible to sustain.

Work is hard in an unforgiving world. You must be disciplined, you must be tough. You must have an idea for your future. You must have a dream. You must make your own chicken soup. You must never forget your family. You must follow your passion. You must build it all from scratch.
